Contender x Dornroeschen

The father of the frozen embryo is Contender. He is an important stud stallion with fantastic lines, great expression and charm. He had well balanced paces and good rhythm, whereby he could have had a more ground covering walk. Outstanding jumping ability, very good style and leg technique. Contender was in his time, one of the most sought after stallions in Germany. He has produced 127 approved sons, and 59 state premium mares including Riconda who won the Elite Mare Show at Rastede in 1993. As of 2006, in Holstein, Oldenburg, Hannover and Rhineland, Contender had produced 782 registered mares, 498 successful offspring in the sport. His siblings are Mufasa (1.60 lvl), Kalypso Lady (1.50 lvl), Montemorelos la Silla (1.60 lvl). Among of his offsprings we can find numrous horses which competed on 1.60lvl.

The mother of the embryo is Dornsoeschen I. Her sire is Chin Champ, great presence, good looks, outstanding basic paces and careful jumping in combination with great ability were the traits which secured him the premium stallion rating.  His dam Ravenna II outstandingly produced so that she passed a very good mare performance test and was awarded the state premium title at the Elmshorn mare show. Just as well, Chin Champ has several crosses to Cor de la Bryère, a stallion known to stamp his offspring, through Chin Chin, Carvallo and Contender. Chin Chin, a highly successful international show jumper under Mexican Jaime Azcarraga, competed at the Seoul Olympics where he took 8th place individually. After finishing his career in competition, Chin Chin was put to stud in the Netherlands at Wiebke v. d. Lageweg’s. Chin Chin’s dam line is the highly successful line 4539 bred by the Köhncke family of Badendorf. Three-time Derby winner Collin is considered as the most successful current representative. Dornröschen’s 2nd dam is Noble VI who is full sister to Collin7 who is competed up to 1.60 with Toni Hassmann.Taariq is the dam, who has succesful offsprings like: Zeelena (1.50lvl), or Bombay 36 (1.50 lvl). And there is a lot of excellent sport horse from this whole mother line!
